Studying and knowing God is essential to Christian

Studying and knowing God is essential to Christian living and understanding. Maurice Roberts said, “The foundation of all true knowledge of God must be a clear mental apprehension of His perfections as revealed in Holy Scripture. An unknown God can neither be trusted, served, nor worshipped.”

In this 3 week class, we will study the Attributes of God, with the goal of clearly understanding their implications for the gospel, for worship, and application to our lives. We will discuss several of God’s shared attributes, such as wisdom, faithfulness, mercy, grace, love, and several of His unshared attributes, such as providence, transcendence, immutability, self-existence and self-sufficiency.

Our goal will be to conclude with the Psalmist, “Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable” Psalm 145:3.
