HOW WE FOLLOW JESUS AND MAKE DISCIPLES

1. We do it for His Glory! We do what we do for Jesus! If it glorifies Him we do it, if it doesn’t we don’t! Eph 1:11-12 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.
2. We do it through His Word! Scripture is our authority. It tells us what glorifies Him and what doesn’t! All Scripture points to Jesus, so we emphatically do the same in all our teachings! 2 Tim 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
3. We do it with an attitude of being on His Mission! We see that Jesus was sent by God to redeem sinners. We too are sent by God to be used by Jesus to do the same! John 20:21-22 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”
